An exceptional representative of this Denver Mint issue, the surfaces are lightly blanketed by an amber iridescence that deepens at the borders. The fields exhibit a satiny, matte-like texture that blends seamlessly with the sharply pronounced design elements. Magnified inspection fails to reveal any notable imperfections, asserting the true Gem quality of this piece. Technically and aesthetically superior, this original piece needs to be experienced in-hand!

While not rare in an absolute sense, the 1915-D lincoln cent becomes a considerably scarce above MS-65 RD. From a mintage of over 22 million coins, PCGS has certified just 5 examples finer than the present piece.
